Chris Poirier is the Lead Pastor/Church Planter of River Valley Church and Founder of River Valley City Centers. He is a twice over alumni from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Assets Protection and Security and an M.S. in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management. In 2017 he obtained his Master of Divinity (MDiv.) with a focus in North American Church Planting from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Additionally, Chris has served in multiple ministry positions over the last decade that span from Life Group Leader, Security Ministry Team Co-Chief, and a cross-section of Assistant Pastor positions. When not reading comics or playing video games he and his wife Rebekah seek out all that can be found on the nerd scene by hunting for vintage toys, finding the most epic comic shops, and getting their tabletop on. In the hours that remain, Chris serves as a missionary for Love Thy Nerd at conventions across the US. Previously, Chris served for almost a decade as a Program/Project Manager for multiple US Government agencies.
